Fun park Žiarce

Fun Park Žiarce enjoys great popularity especially among families with children. For the smallest skiers there is a ski school and kindergarten, as well as a ski equipment rental. Parents will especially appreciate the favorable prices of family ski tickets. FUN PARK Žiarce is not only a winter ski resort. Every year from April to October you will find here the steepest bobsleigh track in Slovakia, which is currently only one of two such tracks in our territory. Demänovské caves

On the northern side of the Low Tatras, Demänovská Karst is located in the Demänovská Valley, where the Demänovský Cave System dominates, about 25 km long. Two caves – the Demänovská Cave of Liberty – are available in Demänovská dolina, which is one of the most beautiful caves in Europe and the Demänovská Ice Cave, which is unique in its icy decoration during the summer heat.
Holy cross – articular church

Wooden Articular Evangelical Church at Svätý Kríž is one of the largest wooden buildings in Central Europe that was transferred here from 1974 to 1982 from Paludza. Today it stands on the boundary of the cadastral districts of Svätý Kríž and Lazisko. The ground plan of the church with a length of 43 m is in the form of a cross. Almost six thousand visitors, who are particularly interested in the wooden baroque furnishings, which are extremely emotional in the incident light, will enter the interior. In the interior, there is a remarkable wooden baroque altar from 1693 with the image of the Transformation of Christ. Also unique is the pulpit standing on a log base as if supported by a Baroque angel from the front. The altar and the pulpit were made by carver J. Lerch from Kežmarok.
Ski center Jasná Low Tatras

Jasná Nízke Tatry as the largest ski center with excellent conditions for winter sports in Slovakia offers endless possibilities of activities, entertainment, and active relaxation. You can reach the summit of Chopok with the latest Funitel cable cars or 15-seater cable cars. The resort offers more than 50 km of perfectly groomed slopes of varying difficulty, suitable for beginners, families with children, advanced skiers and world-class races.
Vrbické tarn

Distance: 17 kilometres
Vrbické tarn is a glacial lake and the largest natural lake in the Low Tatras. It lies at 1,113 m above sea level. m. in the upper western part of the Demänovská Valley. It occupies an area of 0.69 ha, has a maximum depth of 8 m, a length of 115 m and a width of 62 m. It is a moraine lake that was created after the glacier retreat from the northern slopes of Chopok and Derešov. Its formation is more like balls in the High Tatras. Otupnianka flows from the lake and the dams have been modified to ensure a constant level. Gradually overgrown with vegetation from the edges.
Thermal AquaPark Tatralandia

Celtic Museum Havránok

The area with hints of reconstruction of residential, fortification and cult buildings from the Iron Age and the Early Roman period, one of the most famous and most important localities of the Púchov culture in Slovakia. On the slopes and terraces of the south-eastern outcropping of Úložisko, a large massif dominating the central part of the Liptov basin, several craft-peasant settlements originally existed. Their population, influenced by the Celtic material and spiritual culture, kept busy business relations with the North Romani provinces, Celtic oppida in the west, and areas in the north, including the Baltic Sea coast. The unique fortified shrine with traces of Celtic religious rituals played the role of a spiritual center beyond the borders of the region at its time. Part of the archaeological museum is the original tower of the medieval church of Our Lady, whose history dates back to the 12th century, and the foundations and fortifications of a medieval castle on the top of Havránek.
Vlkolínec

Vlkolínec permanently inhabited the village, currently with 20 year-round residents living in 7 houses out of a total of 55 houses. It covers an area of 797 hectares, a built-up area with the wooden architecture of mountain and foothill type of northern central Slovakia. Vlkolínec was registered in the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List in 1993 as a unique landscaping-architectural complex
Open Air Museum Pribylina

The Liptov Village Museum differs significantly from other museums in nature, mainly in the form of buildings and structures. It is a picture of a medieval mansion with privileges and rights of small towns. In addition to wooden residential and farm buildings, representing the typical features of folk architecture of peasant and craft layers, there are also two rare medieval stone objects. All buildings together create a unique composition of the historical and cultural environment of the ancient Liptov. The Gothic-Renaissance manor house from Parížovce is the oldest preserved mansion in Liptov from the 14th – 16th centuries and is associated with King Matthias Corvinus and his son John Corvinus, Prince of Liptov. An attractive exposition is the Early Gothic Church of Our Lady from the village of Liptovská Mara with fragments of original wall paintings from the 14th and 15th centuries. In the upper part of the museum there is a static exhibition of the historic Považská forest railway.
